Daddy's Leaving Soon

So Colin leaves for Afghanistan the beginning of September so we have been trying to cram in as much fun things we can possibly do before he leaves. In July Colin and I went to Southern California for a little Vacation together. We had tonz of fun but honestly I kept wishing the kids were with us. Of course I loved having some alone time with my hubby what wife wouldn't love that.

All time best face EVER!

Then we went to the Hill Air Force Base Museum... that isn't really want it is called but i can't remember exactly what it is right now so there you go. Evalynn was hilarious she was just running around telling everyone "look thats a plane." Then saying "come on come on" and leading everyone to the next plane. Honestly she was running around so much that I couldn't get a clear picture of her it was a miracle when she held still for more than 10 seconds. I think it is so funny how she thinks that every plane is "Daddy's Plane." Keagan was pretty fascinated with them too. I think that both my kids may follow in their dad's footsteps.

Prime example of the RUNNING

This is her giving Peter a tour. Peter just listened like he somehow understood her ramblings, so cute.

We gave Keagan a hair cut because his hair grows so blasted fast but it was so funny he loved the feeling of the buzzer so I had to put pictures in I mean come on.

Before

During

After

We have done several nature walks just to get out with the kids and spend some time with daddy before he leaves. We have gone through all the canyons in the Ogden area now and we also did the alpine loop. The kids really loved it.

He still posed even though he couldn't take his eyes of the water too cute

She is in a phase of not wanting to look at the camera.... super annoying

Then just this last weekend we went to the Zoo with Grandma and Grandpa Hamblin. It was so much fun Evalynn LOVED the baby Elephant. They celebrated her first birthday the day we were there so it was a lot of fun. Keagan loved the Giraffes he got pretty excited when he saw those. But the highlight of the whole day was.... The Carousel. Evalynn was so brave she sat all by herself with mom standing next to her of course. The second it got over though she was like "no ride bike, ride bike." She was pretty upset about it.

When it started moving he made this hilarious face that kinda pushed his fat cheeks out. SO BLASTED CUTE!

So we switched Evalynn to a big girl bed because when i went into get her out of her crib she said "MY DO IT." then proceeded to climb out of her crib... CRAP! So now she is able to get out of bed and do whatever she wants whenever she wants. She was waking up at 8:30 sometimes even 9 which worked out great since Colin is on the swing shift and usually doesn't get home until 11 or later. Well now that she is in her big girl bed she wakes up anytime between 6:30-7:30. NOT WORKING OUT FOR ME IN THE SLIGHTEST BIT! I need help to figure out a way to get her to sleep later!

As for this summer we are having a blast we have been to the Roy pool a couple of times. The first time Evalynn was a scaredy cat but after that she got up some courage. Keagan just took off running through the water no cares in the world at all. Speaking of courage we took the kids to the park the other day and I look over to see Evalynn at the top of the huge metal slide so Colin ran over to help her go down it so she wouldn't break her neck. Keagan loves to swing at the park just relaxes and swings with mommy or daddy.

Keagan is the same old happy hungry chunky baby boy. I tell you that kid eats more than i do. This is an average lunch for him: a whole sandwich of any kind, applesauce, milk/juice, crackers, and usually whatever Evalynn hasn't eaten.... I dunno about you but I feel like that is a lot for a 15 month old kid. Crazy Monkey!

He loves watching movies thanks to Evalynn who feels like she needs to watch movies 24 hours a day. The other day they were watching Madagascar and Keagan was full on laughing out loud at the movie it was super cute. Evalynn loves him she is always giving him hugs or kisses or saying "Come on bud," or "Come on baby," which is what I say to him. I have to remind her on a regular basis though that Keagan isn't one of her stuffed animals and that she has to be careful with him. So cute. Some other funny things that Evalynn has said lately are "Dad listen to me." He was getting her milk when she was clearly saying juice. Then we were at Grandma and Grandpa Wood's house and Great Grandpa said to her I don't think your mom wants you doing that and she looked up at him and said "Close the door." Such a little attitude. Then yesterday she was going in the house and called out to me "See you in the house." She is becoming a little talker so cute.

Prayers for Peter

My little 3 year-old nephew Peter is in the hospital right now after having Heart Surgery.
This little guy is so brave for what he has had to go though and so are his parents. Keep Peter in your prayers that he will heal soon so he can go home to his Mommy, Daddy, and baby brother Jeremy. We love you little guy and are so happy to have you a part of our family! Get better soon!

Soup and Sorry

Yesterday me and Colin took the kids into the yard. We were weeding and such and Evalynn was in the dog pen playing. She had her little play cup that she digs in the dirt with. Well she kept getting dirt and dumping in the dogs water. I would get mad at her and tell her to stop and she would defiantly say "SOUP". After about 20 times of telling her to stop and her yelling "SOUP" or "NO" at me I finally decided to take her inside. She was very upset about having to go inside and cried for a couple minutes but then she just started playing with her toys. About 15 minutes later I was making lunch Evalynn came into the kitchen climbed up on the stool looked me straight in the eyes and said so sweetly, "I sorry mommy." I was so lost at why she was sorry so I said with a laugh, "For what honey" and she says "Cup, Soup." I thought it was so sweet that after 15 minutes she still remembered that she had got in trouble for that and second of all to say sorry to me. She is such a sweet heart!

So everyone has told me that I need to make a blog, so here it is. I know, I know, calm down don't get too excited. I suppose I will start by introducing my family... I guess that is how it work lol. I am Janae and me and Colin have been married for 5 years on June 30th. We have two little kids: Evalynn was born December 26th the day after Christmas and she is now 2 1/2 years old. She just learned how to use the potty and has very rare accidents which is just awesome for mom :). She is a super smart kid but also very very stubborn. I guess I should have expected she definatly come from a line of stubborn people. Keagan was born February 24th and he is now 1 year and 4 months. He is just learning to talk and says some words which of course is adorable. He is a chunk and any time anyone meets him they say "Is he going out for football next year?" He is my little mama's boy if i leave the room he just cries and cries. Cute but frusterating. Colin is in the Air Force Reserves as a Crew Cheif for F-16. He loves his job which makes me happy that he is doing what makes him happy. He is planing on going to Afghanistan this fall which is just super exciting :'(. Once he gets back he is most likely going to start taking classes at the base to earn his degree. Me, I am being a mom nothing more nothing less my kiddies are my life but that is okay cause they are so darn cute. So I guess that is all for now he he so thrilling I know
